Camera is not working on ChromeOS devices

Problem

Camera app is not working on ChromeOS devices.

Environment

  • ChromeOS

Solution

  1. Log in to the Admin console .
  2. Navigate to Devices > Chrome > Settings > Users and browsers.
  3. Select the Organizational Unit which contains the users you want to affect.
  4. Change the Disabled System Features policy by removing the check mark next to Camera.
  5. Change the Video Input (camera) policy to Enable camera input for websites and apps.
  6. Save changes.

Cause

Disabled System Features or Video Input (camera) policies were turned off.
