Cannot redirect USB on Horizon Virtual Machine

Problem

You are unable to see a USB drive on the list of USB devices to redirect to the Horizon remote machine.

Environment

  • Chromebooks
  • Chrome OS managed

Solution

You must set the policy "USB Access" on the Admin console by following the steps described below:
  1. On the Admin console go to Devices > Chrome > Settings > Device.
  2. Select the OU where you have the Chromebook.
  3. Look for the USB Access policy.
  4. Add the VID and PID of the USB on it.
  5. Save the changes.
