Change Google Voice number

Problem

Need to change the phone number and the option is not available on the Google Voice interface settings.

Environment

Google Voice

Solution

In your Google Admin console.
Go to Menu Apps > Google Workspace > Google Voice.
Hover over the user and the option to Edit number will display at the right.
On the phone number field select Unassign.
The system will now allow you to assign a new number to the user.
