ChromeOS not showing SSID for unamanged networks

Problem

You are experiencing issues with Chromebooks that are not showing all the SSIDs available

Environment

  • ChromeOS devices
  • Connectivity

Solution

Remove some of the SSIDs (networks) that might not be used anymore following these steps:
  1. On the Admin console, go to the menu at the left and click Devices > Networks.
  2. Select the organizational unit with the affected users.
  3. Click Wi-fi.
  4. Click Remove to the right of the network you want to remove. Please note that this option is available only if the configuration was added directly to the organizational unit.
  5. Save the changes.

Cause

This happens due to the amount of the SSIDs (managed networks) being pushed to the devices, some models would hide some or all if too many managed networks are pushed.
