Problem
Some data actions (data sharing) restrictions are not being applied to the Google apps on an iOS devices.
Environment
- iOS devices
- Mobile Management
Solution
- Log in to the Admin console.
- Go to Apps > Web and mobile apps > Look or add the Google app (e.g. Gmail, Drive, etc.).
- If not added, add the app and check the option to make managed by following the instruction when adding the app.
- If the app is already on the list, click on the app > Settings > Make this a manage app.
- This will allow you to fully manage the apps and apply the policies that you have.
Cause
The app is not yet managed this is why some of the policies are not being applied properly.
