Error message when attempting to share file

Problem

You receive the follow error message when sharing files to a non-Google user: 
Can't share with "external email address" because you already shared items with non Google users 5 times this month".

Environment

  • Google Drive

Solution

  1. Users can only share files to non Google accounts 5 times per month.
  2. Advise the non Google user to sign up as a consumer Google account.
