Error "You do not have access to Gmail"


The user receives the error below when trying to access core services:
​​​​We are sorry, but you do not have access to Gmail. Please contact your Organization Administrator for access.


  • Gmail
  • Google Drive
  • Google Calendar


  1. Log in to the Admin console.
  2. Navigate to Menu > Directory Users.
  3. Next to each user's name where you want to assign or remove a license, check the box.
  4. At the top, click More > Assign Licenses or Remove Licenses.
  5. Click the service > Assign or Remove.


Auto-licensing feature is turned off from the Admin console.
