Google IP address found in third party blocklist

Problem

When sending emails, you notice that a Google IP address is in a third party blocklist.

Environment

  • Gmail

Solution

As we have no control over third-party RBLs we cannot delist Google Workspace IPs directly. Nevertheless, Google is in touch with these services in order to request the removal of our blocklisted addresses from their databases. Delisting requests are not always successful as external RBLs can refuse to remove Google IP addresses from their internal databases. Because Google accounts will not be sending out mail from the same IP address each time and because a limited number of recipients use third-party RBLs, it's unlikely that this issue will crop up often for a single domain.
