How to add files and folders to a shared drive

Problem

You are not able to upload folders or add files to a shared drive.

Environment

  • Google Drive

Solution

  1. Create a folder with the desired folders and files on the computer.
  2. Go to Google Drive.
  3. At the left, click Shared drives and double-click one of your shared drives.
  4. At the top left, click New.
  5. Select File upload if you wish to add a single file.
  6. Select Folder upload if you wish to add a folder and its contents.
    • Note: Any subfolders you create must have the same permission as the top-level folder.
