How to change the Gmail display name?

You are trying to change the name that shows up when you send an email through Gmail.

Note: By default, the display name is the name of the user in the Admin Console.

Your users can change their own display name in Gmail by following these steps:

1. Log in to Gmail
2. Click on the Settings icon at the top-right and select See all settings.
3. Switch to the Accounts tab.
4. Under Send mail as, click on Edit info on the email address that you want to edit.
5. Type your preferred name in the text box, and click on the circle beside the text box to select it.
6. Click Save changes.
