You get a message on the Chromebook indicating that local storage is full.
You must set the target ChromeOS version to a higher version and update the device. To do so follow the steps described below:
- Move one affected device to a test organizational unit.
- Set the target Chrome version to a higher version.
- Update the device and see if the issue persists. You may need to wipe the device if it does not update since the disk is full.
There is a known issue previously on older versions of ChromeOS wherein the system files are taking too much of the storage. The Product team fixed the issue by deploying a patch that is included on the higher version of ChromeOS.
