How to create an admin role exclusive for Google Vault access


How can you create a role that will work only to allow Google Vault administrator access. 


  • Admin Console


Please follow the steps below to create this role: 

  1. Access your Admin console.
  2. From the left menu, click Account > Admin roles
  3. Select Create a new role
  4. Enter the role name and description. 
  5. Click Continue
  6. Scroll down to find the Google Vault section. 
  7. Select the privileges you would like those users to have. 
  8. Click Continue
  9. Click Create Role
