How to delete items from a shared Drive


When removing items from a shared Drive, the item cap is not updated.


You must delete the files from the shared Drive's trash by following these steps:
  1. Go to Google Drive.
  2. Click Trash.
  3. At the top, next to Deleted from, click the Down arrow.
  4. Choose the affected shared Drive's trash
  5. Click the file you want to permanently delete. 
  6. Click Delete forever.
Note: Requires at least contributor access


Removed items go to the shared Drive's trash, and items in the trash still count towards the item cap of the shared Drive.
