How to disable or delete a routing rule

Problem

You are not sure why unknown rules affect certain emails to contain expressions, are modified, headers do not contain the proper information, or actions are taking place on them.

Environment

  • Gmail

Solution

  1. Sign in to the Admin console.
  2. Click Apps > Google Workspace > Gmail.
  3. Move to the Routing section. 
  4. Verify the rules list.
  5. Click on Disable or Delete on the ones you no longer need active.

Cause

Emails being forwarded, modified or changed from envelope recipients.
