How to download and upload drive files

Problem

How can you migrate Drive files from one Google Workspace account to another.

Environment

  • Drive
  • Web client

Solution

To download files:
  1. Go to Drive.
  2. Select a file to download.
    • To download multiple files, press Command (Mac) or Ctrl (Windows) > click any other files.
  3. Right click > select Download.
To upload files:
  1. On your computer, go to Drive.
  2. At the top left, click New > File upload or Folder upload.
  3. Choose the file or folder that you want to upload.

Cause

The tool to migrate drive files from one Google Workspace to another is not available.
