How to find Device log events within the Admin console

Problem

How to find the Device log events in the Admin console to obtain details about the device's changes, settings, configurations, models, etc.

Environment

  • Admin console
  • Reports
  • ChromeOS devices

Solution

You must log in to the Admin console.
  1. Navigate to click Security > Security center > Investigation tool.
  2. Click on Data source and select Device log events.
  3. Click on Add Condition.
  4. Click on Attribute > select an option.
  5. Click on Contains > select an operator.
  6. Enter a value, or select an option from the drop-down list.
  7. (Optional) To add more search conditions, repeat steps 4–7.
  8. Click on Search.
    Search results in the investigation tool are displayed in a table at the bottom of the page.
  9. (Optional) To save your investigation, click on Save > enter a title and description > click Save.
