How to reduce unneccessary 2-step verification prompts


You want to make sure that users with 2 step verification will not need to enter 2 step verification repetitively on a trusted device.

  1. From Admin Console > Security > Authentication > 2 step verification > Scroll down to Frequency.
  2. Under the Frequency section in the 2 step verification settings, you need to check the "Allow user to trust the device" box. 
  3. The first time a user signs in from a new device, they can check a box to trust their device.
The user will not be prompted for 2SV on the device, unless they clear their cookies or revoke the device, or you reset the user's sign-in cookies.
