How to review occupied storage

Problem

How can you review the items or users that are taking up storage space.

Environment

  • Google Drive web interface
  • Admin console

Solution

In order to verify what items are taking the most storage of an individual account follow the next steps:
  1. Go to Drive Storage.
  2. Make sure you are logged into the affected account. 
  3. The items that are taking the most storage are listed. 
To confirm what user and shared drives are using the most storage out of the account you can follow the next steps:
  1. Go to your Admin console .
  2. Open Storage. 
  3. The overview will show shared drives and users taking up the most storage of the account. 

Cause

User has questions about items and accounts using the most storage.
