How to set up a Google Workspace Migrate app bridge

Problem

You want to set up a bridge for the Google Workspace Migrate app.

Solution

Create a bridge

  1. In the Google Workspace Migrate platform, click New > Bridge.
  2. Enter a name for the bridge.
  3. Complete the following information:
    • Source connection
    • Target connection (Google Workspace service account connection)
    • Settings template (default or customized)
    • Mapping
    • Identity mapping
  4. Click Create.

Run a bridge

  1. In the Google Workspace Migrate platform, click Menu > Bridges. 
  2. (Optional) To edit the bridge, click Settings.
  3. Click Run > Run.

View progress of a bridge

In the Google Workspace Migrate platform, click Bridges. You can see the number of these types of transactions in real time:

  • Completed
  • Warning
  • Failed
  • Skipped
  • Crawled

The Data migrated number associated with a bridge reflects the size of the binary data that Google Workspace Migrate moved. It includes email messages (including attachments), files and their revisions, calendar attachments, and contact photos.

Cause

You use a bridge to migrate data from a source connection to your Google Workspace account.
