How to set up Data Migration Service to migrate emails


How can you migrate email data using Data Migration Service from one Google Workspace account to another?

You must login to the Admin console of the destination email address to set up the Data Migration Service by following the steps described below:
  1. From the Admin console home page, go to Account > Data Migration.
  2. Click Set Data Migration up.
  3. In Migration Source, click Gmail > Start.
  4. For Migration Start Date, accept the option that appears or choose a start date of migration.
  5. Click Select Users.
  6. Click Add User.
  7. For the Source Email field, enter the user's Google Workspace email address on the source account (or the email address where you are migrating from).
    • It will open another tab with a prompt where you will have to login and click Allow to authorize.
  8. For the Google Workspace Email field, enter the user's new Google Workspace email address and select from the list of suggested users.
  9. For the Password field, enter the user's password of their source email account.
  10. Click Start.
