How to suspend users in bulk

How can you suspend multiple users in bulk?

Environment

Solution

You can use a modified CSV file to perform the bulk update to suspend many users at once.
  1. Log in to the Admin console. 
  2. Select Menu > Directory > Users.
  3. Select Bulk update users at the top of the page.
  4. Select Download blank CSV template.
  5. From the downloaded file, Open it with Google Sheets. 
  6. Add the word Suspended in the New Status [Upload Only] column for each user you wish to suspend. 
  7. Save the file, ensuring to save as a CSV file.
  8. From the Bulk update users page in step 3, Select Attach CSV file and Upload the updated CSV file.
