How to transfer Drive files from one user to another

Problem

How can you transfer Drive items from one user to another within the organization.

Environment

Solution

  1. Open the Admin console.
  2. Navigate to Apps > Google Workspace > Drive and Docs > Transfer ownership.
  3. For From user, enter the current owner's email address and select the user from the results.
  4. For To user, enter the new owner's email address and select the user from the results.
  5. Click Transfer Files.
