How to transfer Drive files from one user to another

Problem

You want to transfer Drive items from one user to another within the organization.

Environment

Solution

  1. Log in to the Admin console.
  2. Navigate to AppsGoogle WorkspaceDrive and Docs > Transfer ownership.
  3. In the From user section, enter the current owner's email address and select the user from the results.
  4. For the To user, enter the new owner's email address and select the user from the results.
  5. Click Transfer Files.
