Problem
You are unable to sign in to the device using Google Credential Provider for Windows and see an error where it shows that the domain is not allowed.
Environment
- Windows 10 devices with Google Credential Provider for Windows
Solution
It is common that some machines that were previously enrolled to Google Credential Provider for Windows with a different domain, may keep entries and data from the older domain. Therefore there are two possible solutions:
- Wipe the device.
- Remove all entries from GCPW including appdata values and registries, and performing a clean install.
Cause
GCPW may leave entries and information from an older domain if it was previously used on that device.
