Load unpacked or unsafe extensions.
Environment
- Mac/Windows computer with Chrome browser
Solution
Ensure
Developer mode has been enabled.
- Go to the Admin console and access "Devices" > "Chrome" > "Apps and extensions" > "Users and browsers"
- Look for "Additional Settings" on the right
- Select the user/browser (in case of managed browsers) OU.
- Set the policy "Allow insecure extension packaging" to allow.
- Set "External extensions" to be allowed also.
- Save the changes.
