Sent messages are not showing in the Sent folder

Problem
You notice that aent messages are not in the Sent folder in the Gmail web interface.
Environment
Solution
- Configure a Send mail as.
- Leave the Treat as an alias box checked, it can be any address.
- What it does is to force the system to re-run a search From:me that will eventually put the messages back to the Sent folder.
Cause
Messages were moved by third party mail clients.
