Problem
Unable to add widgets to the Android homescreen in Work Profile.
Environment
- Android configured with a work profile configured with Advanced Mobile Device Management
Solution
- Log in to the Admin console.
- In the left panel menu click on Apps > Web and mobile apps.
- Click on the app or any app you may be working with.
- Click on Settings.
- Here you should see the Allow users to add widgets to homescreen setting.
- Make sure that this option is set to ON for the app in question.
Cause
Apps may not be allowed to add widgets to the Android homescreen because the 'Allow users to add widgets to homescreen' is set to OFF.
