Unable to get the authorization code for domain transfer

Problem

How can you get the authorization code to transfer the domain from Google Workspace to another domain registrar.

Environment

  • Admin console
  • Billing Subscriptions
  • Google Domain Registration

Solution

  1. Sign in to the Admin console.
  2. Go to Domains > Manage Domains > click View details.
  3. Click Manage domains.
  4. Sign in to Google Domains.
  5. From the Domain overview page, on the left, click Registration Settings.
  6. Scroll down to the Domain registration section, and if your domain is locked, click the lock to unlock the domain.
  7. Under Transfer out, click Get auth code.
  8. Copy the authorization code and provide it to your new domain registrar.
