Unable to save files using Drive for Desktop


You experience an issue saving files using Drive for Desktop; it creates duplicate files and renames them as TMP files.

These TMP files are created by Windows or programs on your computer to hold data while a permanent file is being written or updated. It's possible that upon using Drive for Desktop, these files appear as you are actively using the Drive for Desktop app with the Streaming option.
To correct this:
  1. Save the files directly from the Drive web interface.
  1. Right-click on the files or folders directly from Drive for Desktop.
  2. Click Download.
