Unable to upload a YouTube video

Problem

When you try to upload a video on YouTube you get the error message: 
Can't upload Your channel status or account settings currently don't support uploads.

Environment

  • YouTube web

Solution

You must edit the age based settings.
  1. Log in to the Admin console.
  2. Navigate to Account > Account settings > Age based settings.
  3. Select the Organizational Unit where you need to apply these changes.
  4. Click Older than 18 years old.
  5. Click Save.
    • Note: If there is nothing selected, by default it will be marked as under 18 years old. 

Cause

Users that are marked as under 18 years old cannot upload videos.
