Unable to upload an image to a Gmail signature

Problem

Users in your organization don't have the option to upload an image to the signature, they only have the option of using a URL.

Environment

  • Gmail
  • Front End

Solution

You need to enabled the option to allow users to share files outside the organization by following these steps:
  1. In your Google Admin console.
  2. Go to Menu > Apps > Google Workspace > Drive and Docs.
3. Click Sharing settings > Sharing options.
  4. To apply the setting to everyone, leave the top organizational unit selected. Otherwise, select a child organizational unit or a configuration group.
  5. Under Sharing outside your domain, select On
  6. Check the Allow users in your domain to publish files on the web or make them visible to the world as public or unlisted files box.
  7. Click Save.
