Problem
Unable to upload files to a shared drive owned by an external domain even when I'm a manager.
Environment
- Shared drive owned by an external domain
- Share externally
- Share outside the domain
Solution
- Log in to the Admin console.
- Navigate to Apps > Google Workspace > Drive > Sharing settings.
- Select Sharing options and make sure that 'Distributing content outside' is set up with anyone.
- If this setting is set up with No one the user won't be able to upload files
Cause
The domain of the user that is trying to upload files doesn't allow users to share content outside the domain.
