Update ChromeOS manually

Chromebooks are not automatically updating.

If the device has an older version of ChromeOS, you need to manually update it to catch up with the requirement version before it can auto-update again. To update the device manually:

1. Login to the device.
2. Click the clock and go to the Settings.
3. Look for About ChromeOS.
4. And then check for updates.

Note: There is a scenario where these instructions will not work, and that is when the AUE of the device has already expired.
