As an administrator for your organization's Google Workspace or Cloud Identity account, you can change a user or guest's profile name (their first and last name) that shows in emails they send, calendar invites, and other Google services.
Changing a user or guest's profile name as described here doesn't change the email address or the username (the first part of a user's address, like user@) they use to sign in to their account.
Change a user's first or last name

In the Google Admin console, go to Menu
Directory
Users.
Requires having the appropriate User management privilege. Without the correct privilege, you won't see all the controls needed to complete these steps.
In the Users list, point to the user and click Rename user.
Or if the list is long, type in the search bar at the very top to find the user's account page. Then at the left of their account page, click Update user. Show me how

Tip: You can enter a company name instead of a person's name.
Click Update User.
Click Done.
Change a guest's first or last name
If your organization has Workspace guests enabled, you can change a guest's first or last name in the directory.

- Choose the guest from the list and open their account page by clicking their name. Then at the left of their account page, click Update user.

After you change a profile name…
The new profile name appears:
- In messages the user or guest sends (unless they change their own Gmail settings)
- In calendar invites, shared docs, and other Google services
- In your company's searchable Directory
Notes:
- If you've enabled users or guests to edit their name, and a user or guest
has done this, the new name that you set won't become visible for them.
