If you run a one-person business using your personal Gmail address (ends in @gmail.com), you can sign up for a Google Workspace Business edition using that address. You can sign up for a Business edition on the web or through a link or notification on Android or iOS.
What features do I get?
With a Gmail-based Business subscription, you can access productivity features and manage your account in the Google Admin console, Google Play, or the Settings app, depending on how you signed up.
With your Gmail address, you can sign up on the web for a Business Starter, Business Standard, or Business Plus subscription. On Android or iOS, you might be able to sign up for Business Starter or Business Standard from the Play Store or App Store, respectively.
Each Business edition offers certain features. For details, go to Compare Business editions.
To unlock the full feature set for any edition, you need to verify your domain. To learn more, go to Verify your domain to unlock features (for Gmail accounts).
If you sign up from the web: Use your Admin console
If you sign up for a Gmail-based Business subscription from the web, you can perform the following tasks in your Admin console:
- Manage your payment plan & renewal
- Change which payment method to use
- Download or print invoices or transactions
- Switch your edition to Business Starter, Business Standard, or Business Plus
- Verify your domain to unlock features (for Gmail accounts)
If you sign up from Android or iOS: Manage your account
If you sign up on Android or iOS and don't have billing options in the Admin console, you manage billing and payments in Google Play (Android) or the Settings app (iOS). For example, you can add, remove, or edit payment methods on Android. Or, add a payment method to your Apple Account.
You manage other, non-billing-related account settings in the Admin console, which you can access on the web at admin.google.com. For example, go to the Admin console to Add your logo to Google Workspace.
