Let users request Google AI expansion add-ons

You can choose to let users request AI Expanded Access licenses. Super admins receive an email when a request is submitted and can choose whether to purchase a license in the Admin console.

This setting is enabled by default. However, you can disable user requests:

  1. In the Google Admin console, go to Menu and then Generative AI and then Gemini for Workspace.

    Requires having the Gemini Settings administrator privilege.

  2. Click User-requested upgrades, and then uncheck Allow users to request upgrades.
  3. Click Save.
