Use the data import tool to copy chat messages from Microsoft Teams channels to your organization's Google Workspace account. The service doesn't delete or modify existing chat data but modifies it to the user's account in Workspace. Not all Teams features are supported.
2 ways to import data
You can choose from 2 different ways to import data from Teams to Workspace with the new data import tool:
- Default data import—Uses Google's shared API quota, allowing you to import data for up to 1,000 teams at one time. For details, go to Use the default data import method for Teams.
- Advanced data import—Uses your own dedicated API quota. Once you set up a Microsoft Azure application through the Azure portal, you can import your Teams data to Workspace in batches. You can add up to 1,000 teams to one batch, and you can import up to 10 batches at one time. To import data to Workspace with this method, go to Use the advanced data import method for Teams.
