Use the data import tool to copy files from a Dropbox business account to your organization's Google Workspace account. The service doesn't delete or modify existing files or folders but copies them to Workspace. Not all Dropbox features are supported.

Multiple shareable links
|
Anyone with link links import as Anyone with the link links. Team member links import as domain-based link permissions. An item in Workspace can only have one shareable link. When multiple links to the same item import, the item imports with the most restrictive sharing setting. For example, if a Dropbox link is shared with Editor and Viewer permissions, the link imports to Workspace with the Viewer permission. |
| Only people invited links | Added as a user permission. If there are multiple links, the service imports the item with the highest access level. For example, if a Dropbox link is shared with Editor and Viewer permissions, the link imports to Workspace with the Editor permission. |
What's not imported?
- Dropbox paper files.
- Google Drive files that are already backed up in Dropbox.
- Link permissions with the link audience set to Only people invited.
- Files and folders with Blocked Download policies in Dropbox.
- Files and folders that are created (owned) by external users or an application.
- Any file or folder that was last modified by an external user.
- Previous versions of files—only the latest version of a file imports.
- Permissions for internal users and groups that aren't in the comma-separated values (CSV) file that you create for the data import.
- A single Dropbox user or group mapped to multiple users or groups in Workspace. You need to provide a one-to-one or many-to-one mapping.
