As a Google Workspace administrator, you can let your users try Gemini Beta features before they're made generally available to Workspace users.

Important notes about the Gemini Beta program
- Gemini Beta is turned off by default. Only an administrator can turn it on.
- You can turn on Gemini Beta features for all of your Google Workspace with Gemini users or for a subset of Gemini users within specific organizational units or groups.
- Gemini Beta features get the same robust data protection standards that come with all Google Workspace services.
- Gemini Beta features may be subject to usage limits when they reach general availability.
- Gemini Beta features may not be available in all editions of Google Workspace. Check the feature availability table to see what's available to your organization.
Periodically, Google adds or removes Gemini Beta features, and this page is updated for the current, supported Gemini Beta features.
What terms apply to Gemini Beta features?
Business & Enterprise
By enabling Gemini Beta features, you agree that the Pre-General Availability Offering Terms (excluding Section 6.1(b)), and Generative AI Services sections of the Google Workspace Service Specific Terms apply to your organization's use of the Gemini Beta features. For clarity, Google's data protection and processing obligations with respect to Customer Data as set forth in the Cloud Data Processing Addendum will apply to the Gemini Beta features.
Education

Docs Live is a voice-first AI thought partner and co-creator that lets you brainstorm, draft, and polish documents using just your voice. Leveraging Gemini and Workspace Intelligence, it can pull context from Drive, Gmail, Chat, and the web automatically.
Deep research step in Studio Flows
Supported editions: Business Standard and Business Plus, Enterprise Standard and Enterprise Plus, and Google AI Pro for Education
The Deep Research step is an advanced AI agent that performs multi-step investigations. It searches across Gmail, Drive, Chat, and the web simultaneously to synthesize complex information into a comprehensive Google Doc report.

Automated slide and docs generation in Studio Flows
Supported editions: Business Standard and Business Plus, Enterprise Standard and Enterprise Plus, and Google AI Pro for Education
This feature allows your workflows to automatically create fully editable Google Slides presentations and Google Docs. Unlike static images or PDFs, these files use native text boxes and shapes that you can manually edit after they are generated.
To use this feature, go to Workspace Studio, start a new flow, and add the Create action to choose to create a slide or document. You can optionally link an existing presentation to use as a style template. Learn more about Automated slide and docs generation.
Skills in Google Workspace Studio and Gemini in Workspace
Supported editions: Business Standard and Business Plus, Enterprise Standard and Enterprise Plus, and Google AI Pro for Education
You can create skills in Studio to use in Studio, flows, and Gemini in Workspace. Skills are specialized, reusable instructions and expertise for Gemini that you can use as part of a flow in an "Ask Gemini" step or directly by mentioning them in Gemini in Workspace chats. Pics allows you to easily transform specific parts of an image, as well as modify and translate text directly. It makes complex editing easy so teams can quickly update global marketing campaigns, swap out products in a photo for a presentation, or resize images to fit different ad layouts.

Take notes for in-person meetings with Google Meet

You can let people in your organization use AI note-taking during in-person meetings. After the meeting ends, the notes are stored in Google Drive and emailed to the person who started the note-taking.

Note: When you enable access to these features, you enable access to all available Gemini Beta features. You can't control access to individual features.

In the Google Admin console, go to Menu
Generative AI
Gemini for Workspace.
Requires having the Gemini Settings administrator privilege.
- Click the Gemini Beta features panel.
- At the left, choose one of the following:
- Users–check if a user has access to Gemini Beta.
- Groups–select groups that will get access to Gemini Beta. Learn how groups work.
- Organizational units–select organizational units that will get access to Gemini Beta. Learn how organizational units work.
- Click On, and then follow the on-screen prompts to enable Gemini Beta.
- (Optional) Check the box to allow your organization to participate in Google surveys. This feedback helps to improve features in Gemini.
