About usage limits
Your organization's use of advanced AI features in Google Workspace is subject to usage limits. These limits are based on which Google Workspace edition you're using and any AI expansion licenses that you've assigned to users.
AI usage limits reset on a daily or monthly cadence, depending on the feature. Usage limits don't roll over, and they can't be shared with other people.
How does the use of AI features affect usage limits?
There are several types of actions that count against AI usage limits. Examples include:
- Users ask AI to do work. This happens when they do things like:
- Use Flow or Vids to generate videos.
- Use Nano Banana to generate images in Slides or Vids.
- Use the AI function in Google Sheets.
- Generate audio overviews in Gemini, NotebookLM, and Drive.
- Using Workspace Studio to create and run flows.
