You can set a default project for content that's created by users who have Looker Studio Pro licenses. When you set a default project, these users can create content only in their Looker Studio Pro Sandbox or a team workspace.
How setting a default project affects user content
All Looker Studio Pro users in the selected group or organizational unit who belong to the default Looker Studio Pro project no longer have Owned by me as an available location in the Looker Studio Pro navigation. Any content that was previously owned by these users moves to their personal Sandbox location under the default project.
New users who are assigned a Looker Studio Pro license that's associated with the default project have their content moved to their personal Sandbox location under the default project. Moving existing content from a user's Owned by me location to the default Looker Studio Pro project can take up to 48 hours.
Content won't be moved if it belongs to users in your organization who either don't have a Looker Studio Pro license or have a Looker Studio Pro license but are associated with a different Google Cloud project. These users can still create content in their Owned by me location.

Change the default project
You can change your organization's default Looker Studio Pro project at any time. Follow the steps in Set a default project for Looker Studio Pro content (earlier on this page) and enter the new project's ID in step 5.
When you change the default project, existing content in the previous default project isn't moved to the new default project. Users can manually move their content to the new default project if they have Looker Studio Pro licenses associated with that project.
