Chat content protection
Stay organized with collections
Save and categorize content based on your preferences.
Google Chat scans messages with external users to help protect you from spam,
phishing, and malware. Internal conversations within your organization are not
scanned. You can disable the external scans if you turn off external
chat.
In addition, when any users send or receive files in
Chat, the files are
automatically scanned for viruses. If you allow external chat, images uploaded
in external conversations may also be scanned for Child Sexual Abuse Material
(CSAM).
Note: If you view 'Learn how Google Chat protects you' when signed in with a
personal Google Account (or when not signed in to any Google Account), you won't
see the information that applies only to Chat with people outside your
organization.
