Deprovisioning removes the Google Beam license from your device, rendering it inoperable. It's usually done for one of the following reasons:
- The device needs to be factory reset due to a hardware issue (such as not starting).
- You want to enroll the device under a different Google Workspace domain.
- You want to change your Beam license to a different video conferencing provider (from Zoom to Meet or vice versa).
- You want to change the language or time zone on the device.
- You want to decommission the device entirely.
You should remove the Beam license from your device before factory resetting or re-enrolling the device to ensure that the license is available for reuse. Deprovisioning is in a different section of the Google Admin console depending on your license.
After being deprovisioned, the device is no longer visible in the device list. You can re-enroll the device by following the instructions in Re-enroll a device.
Click the tab that corresponds to your license.
