When buying HP Dimension with Google Beam, your organization is required to buy Poly+ support services from the reseller, or with rare exception from HP. This gives you access to health telemetry (break/fix data) in the Poly Lens web app for your HP Dimension devices beyond what the Google Admin console or the Zoom web portal offer. For your audio visual integrator (AVI) and HP to fully support your devices, you need to give them access to your Poly Lens tenant.
This document describes how to sign up for Poly Lens and add admin users who can view data.
Create a Poly Lens tenant
Setting up a tenant for your HP Dimension devices lets you view their data separately from other HP devices in your fleet. To create the tenant:
- Go to Poly Lens.
- Sign in using Google SSO and your Google Workspace account.
- Review the Poly Terms and Privacy Policy, then select I Agree and click the Let's Get Started button.
- Enter your first and last name, an account name, and select United States as the datacenter (this is the only value supported). To better isolate these devices from the rest of your fleet, start the account name with Dimension.
- Click Continue. Your account is created and you get a welcome email.
Add users to your Poly Lens tenant
Once your tenant is created, you can add both internal admins and AVIs as needed by following the instructions in the Poly Lens documentation. To ensure that they have the necessary permissions, set their Role as needed when creating the account:
- Device Manager: Can view device health and register devices
- Guest: Can view device health
The AVI will register your HP Dimension devices to your Poly Lens tenant. To do so, they will need the serial numbers for the devices. Go to View and edit device information for instructions on finding the number.
