As an administrator you can view and edit identifying information for a device in the Google Admin console or Zoom web portal. This includes the device name, asset ID or tag, and assignment or custom location, among other information.
Click the tab that corresponds to your license.
Google Beam for Meet
Devices with Google Beam for Meet licenses are managed as Google Meet hardware using the Google Admin console. Go to View and edit device information for instructions.
Note: Device information downloaded for Beam-enabled devices won't include these eight values:
- Connected camera
- Connected speaker
- Connected microphone
- Connected touchscreen
- Connected remote
- Default camera
- Default microphone
- Default speaker
Google Beam for Zoom
Devices with Google Beam for Zoom licenses, with the exception of Beam license management, are controlled as standard Zoom Rooms using the Zoom web portal. Go to Changing the settings of a Zoom Room for instructions.
Note: The Zoom web portal also gives additional device and meeting health information for Beam-enabled Zoom Rooms, including:
- Status (Offline, Available, In Meeting, Presenting, etc.)
- Audio and video devices status: camera disconnected, table microphone disconnected, audio issue, display disconnected, touchscreen disconnected
- Zoom version number (HP Dimension and touchscreen)
- Device IP address (HP Dimension and touchscreen)
- Current meeting health
- Meeting details and history (up to 72 hours)
- Issue alerts for GPU, CPU, and memory load (e.g., 90% CPU usage alert)
