Certified Meet hardware for Android & ChromeOS

The Google Meet team recommends using only certified hardware in meeting rooms to ensure quality experiences. This page lists certified Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and ChromeOS hardware that works with and is certified for Meet.

Important: Google provides technical support and issue resolution only for certified devices.

Meet-certified meeting room devices (Android)

A certified device typically gets an 8-year target Meet support lifespan from its general availability (GA) date, which includes a mandatory recertification at year 5. Some premium-tier devices might target up to 10 years of support (with recertifications at year 5 and year 8). Review the following table for certified devices and dates.

Hardware vendors can confirm which peripheral devices are qualified for use with their Google Meet hardware.

Meet-certified meeting room devices (ChromeOS)

While new ChromeOS devices are no longer certified for Meet, existing devices remain fully supported until the end of September 2030. Security patches, stability updates, and ChromeOS releases will continue for all Meet hardware running ChromeOS until their official support end dates.

End of Meet support

As an administrator for your organization, you get automated advance notifications in the Google Admin console when a device approaches its end of Meet support date. This advance notice can help with room-refresh planning. When a device is past its end of Meet support date, it's marked as unsupported. Further feature updates, security patches, and technical support are discontinued. You can still use unsupported devices with Meet, but they might partially lose functionality or stop working completely at any time.

In a device's final supported year, Google provides best-effort application parity and critical application-layer security updates. Older devices maintain core meeting stability, though they might not run all current features or operate at peak capacity.
