This document explains the high-level requirements for HP Dimension with Google Beam, so you can prepare your organization for using this technology. Though your HP Dimension hardware installation, setup, and much of your support will be managed by your HP Amplify reseller's A/V integrator (AVI), there are still some prerequisites that you need to consider.

Hardware requirements
Google Beam 3D video meetings are only possible on HP Dimension devices, and can only be made between 2 equipped rooms on the same video conferencing platform (Google Meet or Zoom). Standard video meetings are also supported.
License requirements
HP Dimension devices and their associated Google Beam licenses are purchased together. To learn how to purchase devices and licenses, see Buy HP Dimension with Google Beam.
In addition to Google Beam licenses, you need user licenses for your video conferencing platform. These allow administrators to enroll and manage the devices and end users to schedule and participate in meetings. If you use Google Workspace or Zoom, you should have these licenses already. The following sections list the specific editions and licensing requirements for each platform.

Google Beam for Meet
For Google Meet, your organization needs the following:
- A Google Workspace edition (at least Enterprise Standard) and verified domain to provide user licenses for both administrators and end users.
- Google Beam for Meet hardware licenses (purchased with your HP Dimension devices).
Google Beam for Zoom
For Zoom, your organization needs the following:
- A minimum of Zoom Workplace Enterprise Edition to provide Zoom Rooms user licenses for administrators and end users.
- A Google Workspace edition with at least 2 user seats and verified domain (only needed to enroll the device). If your organization doesn't use Workspace for collaboration, your administrator should sign up for the Business Standard edition to provide admin licenses for your admin and the AVI. Google Workspace must be set up before purchasing devices and licenses.
- Google Beam for Zoom licenses (purchased with your HP Dimension devices).
Room requirements
At a high level, Beam requires dedicated rooms with specific dimensions, HVAC airflow and temperature, and power. See the HP Dimension with Google Beam Room and Deployment Readiness Guide for these requirements and modifications that might be necessary regarding window coverings, paint colors, and other decor.
Network requirements
Ensuring a high-quality 3D meeting experience with Google Beam requires wired ethernet in the room, with a stable network connection and sufficient bandwidth. Beam only supports IPv4 or IPv4/IPv6 mixed mode.

Standard video meetings use the platform that's paired with your Google Beam license. Each has different minimum bandwidth requirements.
