Account isn't ready for Voice yet
Before the user can get a Voice number, you need to complete these steps in the Google Admin console:
- Add Voice to Google Workspace.
- Add your locations.
- Turn on Voice.
- Assign a Voice license.
- Assign a Voice number (in supported country/region).
- Meet the requirements.
Note: The unmanaged version of Voice is no longer available for new numbers. You can now assign numbers to licensed users as part of the Google Voice service. This change doesn't affect accounts that previously added Voice numbers. Learn more
Can't get a Voice number
Users outside your home country or region can sign up for Voice only if your organization has a Google Voice Premier subscription. To let users complete the self sign-up process, add a Voice Premier subscription.
Voice isn't available in my country yet
The user is in a country or region where Voice is not supported yet.
Google Voice Starter standalone subscriptions are currently only available in the U.S.
SIP Link is available in countries where first-party calling is not available. For details, go to Google Voice and SIP Link supported countries.
