To help ensure data security and privacy, Meet hardware supports the following security measures:
Encryption
During Google meeting room hardware video meetings, SRTP is used to encrypt voice and video traffic. SSL is used to encrypt management traffic. For more information, see How Meet encrypts information.
Audio and video data
Google does not record or store audio or data in video sessions with Google Meet hardware.
Security Issue
Description
In-domain video meeting
Users and Chrome devices on the same organizational unit can join any named meeting.
Meetings outside the domain
External guests can only join meetings when invited, either by a calendar invite or in the "Invite people" dialog within the meeting.
In-call security
Standard industry SRTP encryption for audio and video and SSL for signaling and management traffic.
