Require approval for flows that affect external users

Supported editions for this feature: Business Starter, Business Standard, and Business Plus; Enterprise Standard and Enterprise Plus; Education Fundamentals, Education Standard, Teaching and Learning add-on, and Education Plus. Supported add-ons for this feature: Google AI Pro for Education. 

As an administrator, you can require user approval for any Google Workspace Studio flows that involve people outside of your organization, such as a flow adding content to a file or messaging a group. This requirement helps protect your sensitive information and data.

When user approval is turned on, flows that share data with someone outside of your organization must be reviewed and approved before the flow can continue.

Require user approval for sensitive actions

To require users to review actions that involve external users:

  1. In the Google Admin console, go to Menu and then Apps and then Google Workspace and then Workspace Studio.
  2. Click Approvals.
  3. Check the Require user approval for sensitive steps box.
  4. Click Save.
